This is our first Storm King GP frame with a fully customized/ one of a kind finish that is a sight to behold. The geometry is slightly different than our standard production geometry as it was designed as a semi-custom frame with a slightly taller stack for the rider who was going to be riding it. Please see the geometry chart below for a run down of the frame measurements. Also note, the wheelbase is a little shorter than our current production designs, again, due to semi-custom nature of this frame. As such, toe overlap might be an issue for some people when running large tires like a 700x45mm tire.
This particular frame was finished with a one of a kind finish that is truly unique to everything else we have done. We started by polishing the entire frame, then anodized the frame in an oil slick kind of motif. From there we bead blasted the frame so that the logos and finish would truly POP off the frame, and then we added a few touches of cerakote to finish off the logos. All in all, it is a testament to the craftsmanship of our finishing team that the bike is as beautiful as it is.
The frame is designed around a gravel suspension fork with either 30mm or 40mm of travel. Either a Rock Shox Rudy fork or a Fox Taper Cast fork will work quite nicely with the frame. As this particular frame was used by SRAM to help launch their new XPLR AXS groupsets, there is no dropper port routing in the usual spot on the frame as it was designed for a wireless dropper post like the Rock Shox AXS Reverb. That being said, a mechanical dropper post can be run on the frame using the non-drive side internal routing port along with the internal brake line. The frame is designed for either a SRAM AXS 1X wireless drivetrain or a mechanical 1X drivetrain.
The Storm King GP is designed to push the boundaries of gravel riding. Go faster and farther with the GP due to the addition of the suspension fork. Just like the first fully rigid MTB’s gave way to the first round of MTB suspension forks, so too will gravel bikes go in this direction as riders continue to push the limits of their bikes. The GP was designed to push that boundary farther than ever before.
We don’t normally sell our show bikes, but this one needs to be in the sun and ridden outdoors. We can build the bike back up if needed with your choice of parts if that is something you are interested in. Let us know and we will be happy to help.
