The concept behind a “shoot out” is that there is a victor and a loser at the end of the contest. It’s not often that we find ourselves in a shoot out with another manufacturer as Sage bikes tend to stand on their own merits as being the amazing bikes they are.
With that in mind, when Road Bike Action asked us for a Storm King to review, we knew it would do more than hold its own against the competition. We were confident that the bike would hit the right marks for what the RBA reader was looking for in their next gravel bike. In the end, the Storm King was the “winner” for the shoot out as it was the preferred bike of the Test Crew.
