Sage Cycles is proud to announce its sponsorship of Project 4040. The brainchild of Remi McManus, Project 4040 looks to inspire, motivate, encourage, challenge and document the emotions and spirit of competition. The project is comprised of 40 races in McManus’s 40th year of life. He will be competing in cycling and running events, as well as triathlon, and other adventure events. Spanning a year starting May 15, 2015 with a completion date of May 15, 2016. In this year, Project 4040 will span the globe attending events in Idaho, Utah, California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, Switzerland and beyond.

“I am very excited to work with Sage Cycles during Project 4040,” stated McManus. “This project has provided opportunities to me that would never have been available in the past. I now have the chance to work with multiple companies to market, test and showcase their products. What drew me to Sage Cycles was the enthusiasm David has for the sport of cycling, and the bicycle itself. I am thrilled to collaborate with Sage Cycles and to ride, test and help develop US made titanium frames.”

Throughout the course of Project 4040 McManus will train and race select events aboard the Sage Cycles titanium Skyline road and PDXCX cyclocross bikes. In addition to representing Sage, McManus will play a key role in the development and testing of new Sage bicycles.

“We are excited to be partnering with Remi and Project 4040,” said Sage Cycles owner David Rosen. “Remi’s competitive background and spirit for adventure is a natural fit for Sage. We are excited to have him riding and racing on our Skyline road and PDXCX cyclocross bikes. In addition, his experience and feedback will be instrumental as we refine and expand the Sage line for 2016.”
