If money was no object, how would you build your bike? That is the question we asked ourselves late in 2017 as we began preparations for Sea Otter in 2018. What we came up with was beyond reason and had no rationale other than to say we could do it: A 13.2lb bike with an MSRP of $20,000. All of this in a size 54cm frame with real world components.
Could we have gotten below 13lbs? Absolutely! Did we need to make that point? No we did not. From the custom camo paint pattern to the bead blasted finish of the raw titanium, our goal was to turn heads. It even made Bicycling Magazine’s Top 30 Most Expensive Luxury Bike List at #15!
